COMPLETION OF FY 2027 H-1B INITIAL REGISTRATION SELECTION PROCESS

USCIS has announced the completion of the FY 2027 H-1B initial registration selection process. Following the registration period, USCIS conducted the lottery and notified selected registrants whose employers are now eligible to file H-1B cap-subject petitions on their behalf. Only those selected in this initial round are currently authorized to proceed with filing. As in prior years, USCIS indicated that additional selection rounds may occur if sufficient petitions are not received to meet the annual cap. Employers with selected registrations must ensure timely filing within the designated window and maintain consistency between the registration and petition. For individuals not selected, options remain limited at this stage, though further selections remain possible depending on overall filing volumes.
