As of April 9, 2025, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has initiated a policy to scrutinize noncitizens' social media activity for antisemitic content. This measure affects individuals applying for lawful permanent residency, student visas, and those associated with educational institutions linked to antisemitic activity. Under this guidance, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) will consider online expressions endorsing or supporting antisemitic terrorism or related organizations as negative factors in immigration benefit determination.
